Out There

I produced this spot for Warn Industries this summer, while freelancing at their factory in Clackamas, Oregon, where raw steel comes in one door and a finished product goes out the other. This spot is actually a 2:00 product video but I wrote it so it could be cut in half and give them a brand ad.

Charity

I wrote and produced this Super Bowl spot for Ford only to have it banned four days before kickoff. But Ford was stoked when it got so much earned media that it paid for itself. I was bummed though, but at least I can say that I’m a banned writer, which I nice. Directed by Tarsem, art-directed by Carlos Speziali, agency is Y & R Detroit. The three spots that follow were also done while I was there.

Alien

This spot won a gold Davey for the State of Nevada’s annual “Click it or ticket” effort. My partner, Liz Theim and I had nothing to do with its production, but we still absolutely love its full-on camp, if you look closely you can see the wires used to suspend the stuff in his truck during a failed abduction.

I'll have a double

Also for the State of Nevada, but this time for their annual DUI awareness effort. I know you might have seen this set up before, but this one was created in 2004, this is the spot that got copied, and it won a Regional Gold Addy. Again, my partner and I had nothing to do with its production and still love it! For local, Reno talent, we think it was well cast.

Trail of the butterfly

A simple banner ad, but as they say in art school, it doesn't have to be difficult to be good.

The NASCAR car

Coor’s Light, at the time a big-time NASCAR sponsor and my partner kept squeaking about not having a digital racer that we could spin around on a page. Finally the squeaky wheel got the grease and Miller/Coors said yes and paid to bring our car to life, from any angle and at any speed!

High country farmers

Here I am playing interviewer for three spots highlighting the barley, the water and the history of Coors Banquet Beer. We were going to shoot these characters with me off camera, but the director dug how I was working it and it was decided that I’d “host” these spots. I also secured the rights to some original rock and roll form a friend of mine’s band, Thrillbilly. These three spots lived on .com for four years.

Coors history 101

Here I am playing interviewer for three spots highlighting the barley, the water and in this spot, the history of Coors Banquet Beer. We were going to shoot these characters with me off camera, but the director dug how I was working it and it was decided that I’d “host” these spots. I also secured the rights to some original rock and roll form a friend of mine’s band, Thrillbilly. These three spots lived on .com for four years.

It's the water

Here I am playing interviewer for three spots highlighting the barley, the history of Coors Banquet Beer and, in this spot, the Rocky Mountain spring water. We were going to shoot these characters with me off camera, but the director dug how I was working it and it was decided that I’d “host” these spots. I also secured the rights to some original rock and roll form a friend of mine’s band, Thrillbilly. These three spots lived on .com for four years.
